British 10k London Run 2008 · 6 July 2008 ·

Over 1.5 million in the UK have endometriosis and the impact of the disease is for some devastating, yet diagnosis takes on average 8 years. With your donations we are turning this around, raising awareness, providing support and information, supporting research, and campaigning for change.

Story

Back in May we almost made history as the first people to drown during a 10k run. It rained so hard during the BUPA London 10, 000 that we ran wearing goggles and armbands. Lee got a verruca.

So we’ve decided to have another crack at a 10k – hopefully this time the weather will be improved and so will our finishing times! We also hope to raise some dosh for a very worthwhile cause.

Endometriosis is a chronic and painful condition which affects 2 million women in the UK .  The symptoms of endometriosis can vary in intensity, and the impact of the disease varies with each individual. It takes an average of 8 years to be diagnosed but once that happens, Endometriosis UK is there to offer support.

But they NEED YOUR HELP to continue their vital work to help women understand the condition and regain control of their lives.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Endometriosis UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, is added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now!

Thanks
