To raise money for the St Elizabeth Hospice, who helped me care for my husband at home in the last week of his life, on 23rd July 2011 I will be leaping into mid-air in a tandem sky-dive from a minimum of 10,000 feet! You might wonder why I would want to do this two days after my 65th birthday. The answer is because once you have been through something like the death of a much loved husband, you realise life is to be lived. I want to raise money for a charity as wonderful as the St Elizabeth Hospice at the same time as doing something that would make our five grandchildren proud of their old Gran.
Am I afraid of heights? I will tell you after I have jumped!
