Heyy... i am trying to raise money for my charity, Rona Trust by taking the challenge of crewing the Rona ship in the Tall ships race 2009. This race is trans-atlantic and only happens once every 8 years! ..and this is the first time an all-girls crew has been allowed. The leg of the race which i am going to be doing is from Tenerife to Bermuda !!!!...
After a grueling selection weekend i gained a place onboard the boat. The whole leg of the race lasts a month, right over the dates of my A-level exams, therefore I am giving up alot to do this race as the experience will come with a lifetime of memories! During the leg of the race I will not see land for 21 days!
I am also doing offline fund raising to help meet the target.
Please Help me raise enough to go as my sponsorship will then allow other youngsters to take part in their own sailing experience in the future!!..
