Hey everybody!!!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

So as you all know I officially caught the travelling bug when I was a kid and was lucky enough to travel all over the world, experiencing diverse foods, cultures, and environments! However, it is only in the last few years that I have become increasingly obsessed with adventure travel, or in other words Expeditions!

As most of you will know I led a UCL funded expedition to Vancouver Island, Canada in August 2009 and conducted research there with two fellow geographers, Adrian and Arjun (read more at http://thenextchallenge.org/portfolio/ucl/expedition-clayoquot/) 

However, what I am raising money for now is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to go to Venezuela's Mount Roraima, or as Arthur Conan-Doyle named it: "The Lost World"! Although not actually home to dinosaurs it is one of the most incredible and extraordinary places on our Earth - and one that is in desperate need of recognition and conservation.

Ibex Earth is giving 10 students a chance to go there this summer (2010) and help film a documentary with world renowned photographers/producers and also too just experience this wonderful landscape - a true world wonder. They are currently bidding for this area to become a UNESCO World Heritage Site and this documentary is going to help pursue a wider awareness of this regions value to everyone on the planet. Even if I don't get picked all the money that I (or should I say, WE) raise will go to the many charities that Ibex Earth collaborates with!  Basically, we can't go wrong because it is our way of taking us one step closer toward a better planet - for everyone and everything!
