Hey there,
I am going back to Uganda in May, back to Soft Power...a very worthwhile, grass roots charity, where small donations of time or money really can make a difference. The aim of the project is to develop and improve educational facilities in the area. Initially, the project built 2 pre-schools for Aids Orphans, and it now works with many Govt. schools across the region.
Thats me in the middle of the photograph, after we finished whitewashing a couple of school blocks...we left really feeling as though we had done something worthwhile for the kids and the local community.
If you can help me out in any way possible, I would be very grateful....if giving money is not your thing (and I recognise it is cheeky to ask), there are other things you could donate. For instance, if you have an old mobile phone to donate, school books or art materials, new childrens clothing / sports gear, please let me know....
For information on Soft Power, check out their website at www.softpowereducation.com
Thanks for your support..I appreciate it, and so will the communities around Jinja, Uganda.
