Glencraft Sleepwalk · 4 September 2010 ·

Glencraft is an Aberdeen charity established to provide secure employment and training for blind, partially sighted and disabled people from the local area. We have a proud history and are looking to raise £500,000 to relocate our factory and provide a secure future for the organisation.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Glencraft,an Aberdeen based furniture factory that employs blind, partially sighted and disabled employees went into liquidation in November 2009 with the loss of over 50 jobs.

Aberdeen company PSN recently pledged it's support to bring Glencraft back to life. They stepped in to offer a recovery solution and for many months worked hard behind the scenes to get the factory re-opened and the majority of the former employees back to work.

As part of a fundraising campaign to help find Glencraft a new home PSN is hosting 'The Glencraft sleepwalk',a 16.5 mile midnight walk from Banchory to Duthie park along the old Deeside Railway Line.

David&I are getting our walking shoes on (&pj's)!! to help raise money for a group of people who may have otherwise faced a bleak future.....
