Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-shortening genetic condition that slowly destroys the lungs and digestive system. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity fighting for a life unlimited, when everyone living with CF can look forward to a long, healthy life. www.cysticfibrosis.org.uk

Story

Well...I did it!!!!!! On the 22nd of May 2010 I jumped out of a plane at 13000 feet, free-falled for around 45 seconds at speeds of 135 mph and then glided back to earth under canopy! It was THE most awesome experience of my life and i loved every minute of it :O) This was a huge challenge for me as i was terrified and never imagined I would do anything like this...let alone thoroughly enjoy the experience ! So, if i can do it, anyone can!

Thank you so much to every one who has sponsored me, you are so generous and myself and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust are so appreciative of your support.

My justgiving page will be here for a little while longer, so it's still not too late to donate! Photos of my big jump will be posted on here very soon...

Lots of big thanks,

Jenny and Daisy-Doo x x x

My story...

My baby sister Daisy Cass was diagnosed with CF at just two weeks old. CF for many individuals involces daily medication, rigourous physiotherapy, pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy, intravenous treatment and hospital stays....

- CF is the UK's most common life-threatening inherited disease. It affects the lungs and digestive system, clogging them with a thick sticky mucus, making it hard to breathe and digest food.

- Over two million people in the UK carry the faulty gene that causes Cystic Fibrosis - around 1 in 25 of the population.

- Each week, five babies are born with Cystic Fibrosis.

- Each week, three young lives are lost to Cystic Fibrosis.

The average life expectancy of a person with CF is around 31 years. Please help us to change this :(

Research into a cure for CF is expensive, costing millions of pounds each year. Gene therapy trials began last year and hold real hope for better treatment and maybe even a cure for people living with CF.

Daisy has changed our lives in the most beautiful way, she means the world to me and I love her so much it hurts. If I could have one wish, it would be for a cure for this cruel disease.
