Story
Recently, a very dear ex-pupil of mine lost her fight against leukaemia aged just 16. She was the sunniest and most lovely young person and so a group of staff at Dowson Primary have decided to run 10K in her memory and to try and raise some money to fight this dreadful disease.
I have never done anything like this (or ran anywhere near as far!) and would usually feel uncomfortable asking for sponsorship when most people need every penny, but this is a disease that touches everyone.
I would be so grateful for every penny that you can spare and I will do my best to run as quickly as I can.
Events like this are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me, we can unite and create an army that cancer can't ignore. By sponsoring me, we will beat cancer sooner.
