I completed the marathon in 4:21:53, and without suffering too much from the heat. The final 8 miles were the worst - utterly gruelling (why didn't I remember that from 2005?!!) but I just kept putting one foot in front of another and finally found myself in the Mall, and at the finish line.

Having your support was fantastic - it kept me going. And knowing that the hospice would benefit directly from every penny raised was also a great motivator!
