Run Jenny Run!

Tough Mudder · 12 May 2012 ·
In March 2009 my friend Eli's dad was diagnosed with Myeloma. Myeloma is a form of blood cancer with no cure, but treatment can help manage the symptoms and give a better quality of life. Myeloma UK support families like Eli's as well as helping with research.
Last year, I watched Eli run the Manchester 10k and promised her I would run it this year and raise money for the charity that is so close to her heart.
Just to clarify, I don't do running and if running the Manchester 10k wasn't bad enough I am also taking part in a Touch Mudder the weekend before. This may kill me!
Tough Mudder events are hardcore 10-12 mile obstacle courses designed by British Special Forces to test your all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie. Apparently you should be able to do push ups and pull ups. Urm, yeh can't do those. There are also rumours of nettle filled pits and sprints through electrical wiring. No exaggeration, this will be the hardest thing I have ever done.
I'm also giving a triathlon a bash (a super sprint, lets not get too carried away) in April, all for a great cause! UPDATE after successfully completing the East Coast Super Sprint Triathlon I am now taking part in the Norwich Sprint Triathlon.
Disclaimer - I may actually crawl the Manchester 10k.

My 2012 challenge:
April - East Coast Super Sprint Triathlon - done
July - Norwich Sprint Triathlon
November - Norwich Half Marathon - maybe :P
