Hello dear sponsors and welcome!

As you can see I'll be running the Edinburgh Marathon (stop laughing), along with my brother James and my brother-in-law Alan, on behalf of the Sumatran Orangutan Society!

Whether you've navigated to this page because you like me, orangutans or both, I really need you to give as much as you can because:

~ This isn't something I ever thought I could do but I'm determined to cross the finish line (and claim my free banana!)

~ There are less than 6,600 surviving orangutans in Sumatra today

~ I'm breaking my own physical and technological barriers (I'm trying to start a blog-type-thing, it's a whole new world...)

~ The biggest threat to orangutans is the destruction of their habitat - every minute an area of forest the size of 6 football fields is destroyed in Indonesia

~ James is coaching me through an excellent but punishing regime and I need all the motivation and support I can get!

~ Protecting the orangutans' habitat is also important for Sumatran elephants, tigers, rhinoceroses and leopards

~ you're awesome, generous and enthusiastic people with a love and respect for nature and/or for my hard work!
