Thanks for visiting my page to help me raise money for Mencap, a charity very close to my heart.
The charity, MENCAP, helped my older brother Chrissie throughout his life and up until his sad death in April. Raising some money for the charity is a small way I feel that I can repay some of that debt and also help other disabled children and adults in similar circumstances. And what better way of starting to do it than by running the London Marathon a year on...
The London Marathon has always been something i've watched from the comfort of my sofa, or with a beer in hand, supporting a friend from the sidelines. But not in 2009 - I have set myself the challenge to complete the 26 painfully crippling miles myself and hopefully without completely ruining my body in the process...
Now the training has ended and the marathon begins!!...and this is where you and your wallet comes in.
I know the credit crunch is here and it is tough for us all, but this is when every penny becomes even more vital to what mencap does, so please be as generous as you can and sponsor me in my tough running regime and to get very red faced on 26 April 2009. Thank you for every penny and it will make you feel very good about yourself...all warm and fuzzy inside.
a very thankful Jeremy
ps. Oh and that photo is not REALLY me!! but i will have a washboard stomach after all this!!
(Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Mencap gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.)
