Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

The Hospice helps people to live their precious lives well. Our care has many forms – at home, in our outpatient Spring Centre or through specialised care in one of our Hospice beds - and is defined by each person's need. We rely on donations to raise the £6m we need each year to fund our free care.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Many of you will know that I lost my mother late last year, and I have decided ( probably against my better judgement ! ) to run the London marathon on a 'once in a lifetime' basis, as I am old, bald, with dodgy knees, in order to raise some funds for a good cause.

I am running for the Hospice of St Francis, as the care that they showed to my mother in the latter stages of her illness was fantastic, as was the support they gave to the rest of her family.

I know times are tough, but would appreciate any donations that you feel you can spare. Please give generously!!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Hospice Of St Francis (Berkhamsted) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
