Having been a sufferer 6 years ago and a survivor of Meningitis, to run and raise money for the M.R.F. was a very easy decision. Throughout my school years running never came easy. 20 years on, I now cannot wait to get out into the fresh air, appreciating everything that bit more.
I currently run 3-4 4mile runs during the week and one 13 mile run on saturdays. My aim is to run the London Marathon in 2011 and raise a lot more than my target for this run.
Location; Newcastle Upon-Tyne to South Shields, Start time; 10.40am, Distance 13.1 miles.
Race Result; Finish time 01:38:51 Overall position 1928th out of 54,000
East Cambs Half Marathon, Soham, Ross Peers sports centre Half Marathon
Race result; Finish time 01:36: Overall position 47th out of 189, 8th unattached runner
Great Eastern Half Marathon, Peterborough 11th October 2009
Race Result; Finish time 01:32:32 Overall position 270th out of 2780 (Personal Best!)
Pine Ridge 10k R.H.S. Wisley
Race Result; Finish time 00.46.07: Overall position 89th out of 686 (Very wet, hail and thunder and lots of mud)
Bumford Santa Run 5k
Supported a good friend around, not running a time.
