UPDATE
I am joining Geoff Giles as co-driver for this year’s Italian Job Run in October. The Run was launched with the aim of raising money for children in a fun way http://www.italianjob.com/index.html Any vehicle featured in the film is eligible to take part. Of course entries are usually Minis, but for this year’s event Geoff has specially prepared a 1969 Series 2 Landrover as a replica of the vehicle used for the hijack scenes. We are committed to raise £1500 sponsorship for our team entry.
To help us to reach our target, I have decided that I will give up my beard. As it is nearly 40 years old, I am not going to part with it lightly. So please encourage me to go ahead with this by sponsoring my shave. Eileen has never known me without a beard and is very apprehensive. I will be delighted if I can raise at least £150 towards our team total, and if I receive enough support, I will be clean-shaven for our wedding anniversary on 21 September.
All that you donate will go to KidsOut http://www.kidsout.org.uk/v2/ , the charity chosen for this year’s Italian Job. This is a really worthwhile cause, they have some great ideas. Please visit their site.
All of the costs of the trip are being funded by us. We leave for Italy on 19 October, and have to reach Imola for the start of the run.
Many thanks for your support!
