About my charity : Ashford And St Peter's Hospitals Charitable Fund - Stephanie Marks Appeal Ashford And St Peter's Hospitals Charitable Fund - Stephanie Marks Appeal
The number of patients with diabetes is growing dramatically. The Stephanie Marks Appeal is raising awareness of the condition within the catchment area of 450,000 people served by Ashford & St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Trust. £800k is needed to build a dedicated Diabetes Resource Centre to provide treatment, education and research facilities. Planning permission has just been approved (June 2008) www.stephaniemarks.org.uk for further information.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. The Stephanie Marks Appeal has and will continue to help with the management and education of people with diabetes. It is an honour to represent Ashford and St Peter's NHS Trust and join Ian Botham OBE on the city part of the Southampton leg of his charity walk. As Patron of the Stephanie Marks Appeal, and having a family member with diabetes, Ian knows first hand that we must raise the awareness of this growing problem and try and educate people to manage their condition carefully in order to minimise any long term effects.
