Story
I drink. A lot. You've seen me. It's probably about time I give my poor little liver a rest so I have decided to go alcohol free throughout January, starting after I've woken up from new years eve celebrations (I'll need to get Christmas and New Year out the way first, of course!).
Myself and others have decided it'd be lovely to not only do this for ourselves but to raise money for charity whilst we're at it.
I am raising money for Mind, a leading mental health charity that have massively helped more than a few people that mean a lot to me. Mental health problems are still a huge taboo despite one in four people experiencing issues. Mind not only work with people experiencing problems but also raise awareness and play a key role in helping to get rid of the stigma surrounding mental health problems.
Be it OCD, eating disorders, depression, bi-polar, scizophrenia, autism or any one of the hundreds of mental health issues; Mind provide incredible support to the sufferer and the people around them. They literally save lives.
The Dryathalon is specifically a Cancer Research campaigne, so if you'd prefer I am also very pro you giving to them. You can do that via John: https://www.justgiving.com/dryathlete-john-hryschko/ or Bill: https://www.justgiving.com/dryathlete-andrew-roberts/. There's also Eric http://localgiving.com/charity/autonomyselfhelpgroup who's raising money for Autonomy, a Shropshire group for adults with Aspergers syndrome.
Thank you for just looking! Now Just give(ing!)
