When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My dad suffered a severe stroke in April of this year and as a result lost half of his brain, speech and movement in his entire right side. He's still got a long way to go on his road to recovery but everyday shows signs of improvement. The past few months have been the hardest of my life, and now I've decided to throw a half marathon into the mix and attempt to run 13.1 miles to raise money and awareness for Stroke Association and the amazing work the charity carries out.

Every little helps so please dig deep and give what you can.

Thanks x
