We are powered by people. We’re here to find a cure and improve lives, together.

Story

Myself, my twin Josie and Katie Benson are all skydiving at the beginning of April for three different charities which have affected our lives in some way.

2 years ago I lost my Grandma to Parkinson's disease and had to watch her slowly deteriorate until her quality of life was nearly inexsistent especially in the last few months as she was bedridden.

My Grandad was her main carer as his love and commitment meant that she was able to remain in her home until she lost her battle to the disease, however it was also down to the excellent treatment the nurses gave her and the support they offered to both my Grandma and my Grandad.

I would like to raise money in memory of my Grandma and so that those suffering from Parkinson's disease can receive the same excellent care and support that was offered to us.

Parkinson's disease is a neurological condition that affects movements such as walking, talking and writing. It occurs as a result of a loss of nerve cells in the brain which affects messages sent to the brain that co-ordinate movement.

About 10 000 people in the UK are diagnosed with Parkinson's disease every year.

There is currently no cure for Parkinson's disease.

We really want to make a difference so any donations will be greatly appreciated!

The other two charities we are raising money for are Multiple Sclerosis and Cerebral Palsy.
