The Oakley Waterman Caravan Foundation provides respite breaks at two Haven parks in England for children suffering from life threatening illnesses. Our caravans are well equipped and away from the normal routine children can enjoy a short break with holiday type entertainment for the whole family.

Story

Hello, thank you for visiting my page.

This year I thought I would challenenge mytself further by doing 3 events. I will be taking part in the 150 mile bike ride again this year in June followed by a skydive  in Las Vegas in September and the great south run in October. Please give all you can as it is the 10th anniversary as well as Oakley's 16th birthday this year.

Here is some information on what the charity is about.

Oakley passed away in 2005 aged 6 due to a rare form of cancer called rhabdomyosarcoma. He was first diagnosed in 2002 age 3 when a tumour was found in his pelvis. After an operation, chemotherapy & radiotherapy he was in remission. However in 2005 the tumour returned and was inoperable. Towards the end of his battle the family spent precious time together whilst staying in a caravan at the church farm holiday village. Which then Oakley announced it was his wish to purchase a caravan there to enable other children in similar situations to share quality time with their families.

Due to all of the support since then two caravans have been bought and are there to enable families to go on holiday.

The annual upkeep of the caravans is £10,000 so it's vital that we continue to support to enable the foundation to continue. This year Oakley's mum and dad, Lorraine and Dave would love to replace the first caravan that they had which is going to cost around £70,000.

£1 counts..

Thank you,

Jess x
