I'm taking part in the marathon because my hausband suffered for years with an irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrilation).  He recently had an operation at the Bristol Heart Institute which has been very successful.  The nurses who looked after him are paid for by the British Heart Foundation, so i'm hoping to raise plenty of money as a gesture of thanks to them.

Unfortunately too many people are affected by heart problems lets help the BHF continue their vital work.
