About the charity : Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals Charitable Funds Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals Charitable Funds
The Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals (ORH) Charitable Funds is the umbrella charity for over 700 funds supporting projects across the ORH NHS Trust that enhance services and facilities for patients and staff. These range from support for particular wards, at the John Radcliffe, Churchill and Horton Hospitals, to larger fundraising campaigns to support major developments such as the new Oxford Cancer Centre, the Oxford Children's Hospital, the Geratology Appeal and the Oxford Heart Centre expansion. As one of the foremost teaching trusts in the UK, the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals enjoy a national and international reputation in fields such as cancer and cranio-facial surgery. Please give generously - your support enables us to provide the best possible healthcare in the best possible setting, to a standard far higher than the NHS alone would be able to afford.

Personal message:

Thank you for visiting the fundraising page for Jessica Taylor Media Rooms2.

On August 1st 2007 my beautiful 13 year old daughter Jess Taylor was diagnosed with a brain tumour and has since undergone three operations, 12 weeks of chemotherapy and 32 sessions of radiotherapy to her spine and head.

During the initial surgery Jess unfortunately suffered a minor stroke which affected her walking and balance, and has recently been receiving physiotherapy to hopefully regain or improve this situation.
Both the chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments have resulted in many awful side effects and Jess has endured all these problems with tremendous courage and determination.

It became clear that when Jess was recovering from her operations or undergoing chemotherapy treatment she would soon become bored with the inactivity. There is only so much television or visitors a teenager can endure which is why my father Derek Huddleston and I decided to design our own fundraising page.
Our aim is to help raise money to equip rooms within Kamran's (Children's Cancer) and Melanie's (Adolescent) Wards at The John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford to install computers with wall mounted flat screens. This will enable youngsters who are seriously affected by cancer and receiving treatment to have contact with the outside world during lonely treatment times.

We are now planning a number of fundraising activities and events with friends, family, work colleagues and Jessica’s school in order to help raise money for this worthy cause, and you can help by donating online….so please dig deep and donate now to help these children.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals Charitable Funds will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please donate now!

Thank you for your support.
