My name is Jess and I am taking part in Trek of a Lifetime. This is a great opportunity for me, and being able to raise money for this charity at the same time is brilliant!

"Trek of a Lifetime promises to be an adventure of a lifetime, hence it's name, and a trip that will create memories that will last forever. This will be a challenging and demanding, but ultimately incredibly rewarding experience. The trek is being led by Rugby Legend Martyn Williams and Top Comedian Rhod Gilbert."

Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Tanzania, the highest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world at 19,341 feet above sea level.

The money raised from this trek will be used to support cancer patients and their families in Wales.Every year they provide care, treatment and support for over 130,000 people. Due to early detection and improved treatments, the number of people in Wales living with cancer is increasing daily. It is estimated that by 2015 there will be a 30% increase in the most common forms of cancer. Velindre Cancer Centre are determined to raise money necessary to enable them to meet these new challenges.
