Story
Thanks for visiting my page, which I assume means you know I'm currently training hard for the Virgin London Marathon which will take place on Sunday 21 April…only 9 weeks away!!
I'm running in aid of The Neuro Foundation, and hoping to raise £2000 for this great charity which supports sufferers of neurofibromatosis. Please don’t feel you have to contribute a lot – as the supermarket says, every little helps!
The Neuro Foundation is the only UK charity dedicated to the provision of support, advice and help to those affected by neurofibromatosis (NF), their families and the professionals concerned with their care. This is provided through a network of support co-ordinators across the country and through research into the disorder. Everyday a baby is born in the UK with NF. It is a genetic disorder that causes tumours to grow in the nervous system. There can be many complications, sight and hearing problems, learning difficulties, brain tumours, scoliosis, epilepsy, speech problems, bone problems, high blood pressure, chronic pain and disfiguring tumours, just to name a few. There are over 25,000 people in the UK diagnosed with this condition and as yet, there is no cure.
So with that in mind, I, and The Neuro Foundation, would be so grateful for any sponsorship you are able to offer...and it's so easy to do! Just follow the simple instructions after you’ve clicked on the link above, and don't forget to Gift Aid your donation if you're a UK tax-payer so your cash will go further!
Please don’t feel you have to contribute a lot – as the supermarket says, every little helps!
And for anyone who fancies a fun day out - come into London and cheer me and the other 36,000 runners on...it starts at 10am, and goes on till the last person finishes, so let me know if you're coming down :)
Thanks in advance for your support :)
