I recently went to an open day at Secret world animal rescue centre and was so taken back by how much they put in and how hard they work for this cause that I signed up for volunteering at the centre straight away!  soon after I saw this trek advertised and an opportunity to help them raise some of the much needed funds they survive on everyday.

Secret world is the only 24/7 wildlife rescue centre in the South west. and annually cares for around 4000 animals at a cost of over £1300 per day! this is all funded by donations so any little bit you can give will help.......

The challenge I have been set is a trek across Dartmoor taking in 45 miles over 3 days on basic army rations setting up makeshift shelters overnight....basically I think il be sleeping under the stars!
