ME Research UK exists solely to fund high quality biomedical studies into the causes and treatment of ME/CFS. This illness affects approximately 250,000 people in the UK but is neither well understood nor, in many cases, properly recognised. We fund highly regarded, peer-reviewed research worldwide.

Story

Welcome to the Christians With M.E. (http://www.cwme.org.uk) fund raising page for Just Four Quid.

CWME is a site for sufferers and carers of people with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.) also known as CFS, CFIDS and PVFS. We also welcome those who suffer from a similar disease called Fibromyalgia.

CWME aims to provide a meeting place where Christian sufferers and carers can find friendship and support with the freedom to discuss all aspects of their health, life and faith.

'Just Four Quid' is a year long campaign to raise funds for ME Research UK and the MEA's Ramsay Research Fund.

It's aims are twofold:

First to get every pwme in the country (approx 250 000) to donate 'just four quid' and therefore raise £1 million.

Second to publish a blog full of money saving ideas and ask people to donate a proportion of the money they save to the campaign.

We're supporting the Just Four Quid campaign because:

- we want to see more research into the physiological causes of this condition

- it's a great way to raise money since both you and the charity should end up better off as a result!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: ME Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
