Woking Bikeathon · 7 May 2006 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

Done and dusted!

Charlotte and I, together with Paul and Emily successfully completed the 2006 Woking Bikeathon.

It was great fun and we were really lucky with the weather. Staples Hill with a tag-a-long was a challenge but we made it to the top without stopping!

Vital statistics were:

Distance: 31.17 miles (including the cycle home!)

Time in the saddle: 2 hours 50 minutes 16 seconds

Average speed: 10.9 mph

Max speed (coming down the other side of Staples hill!): 31.6 mph

Thanks to everyone's generous donations.

Cheers,

Jonathan and Charlotte.
