Albert Bartlett Edinburgh Marathon 2009 · 31 May 2009 ·

Compelled by Christ’s love, we help people in the world’s poorest places to lift themselves out of poverty, work together to protect our common home, and help people recover from disaster.

Story

Hello,

In a bid to make myself a better and fitter person I've signed-up to do the Edinburgh Marathon this year and I'm hoping to raise a fistful of money for a good cause while I'm at it.

My goals for this challenge are pretty straightforward:

1) To win the race

2) To raise as much money as I can for SCIAF.

The first goal is easy, it's just a matter of training, but I do need your help for the second one.  SCIAF is a great charity and I'm proud to raise money for them.  They work in over 20 countries across Asia, Africa and Latin America, to help some of the poorest people in the world, regardless of religion, to work their way out of poverty.

So, thank you for visiting my fundraising page.  I'm hoping you can find a spare penny or two to sponsor me.  Make my hard work and training (and abstinence from booze!! ) worthwhile.

Cheers

James
