Story
Hi to everyone who sponsored me on my recent ride to Amsterdam in aid of the National Autistic Society
. As you will see your contributions have mounted up.
We finished this superb ride on Sunday 4 May, and to prove it you can see me pictured with some of the friends I made en route. Yes, I am the only girl in the picture.
The Essex stretch was slightly harder than I anticipated - where on earth did Essex get the reputation for being flat? There were a alot of hills between Stansted and Harwich - and some big buggers among them as well.
The ride from Hook of Holland to Amsterdam was delightful; fast, flat and we had fantastic weather. I even managed to ride up front with the bike guide AND I was a marker ( a job not entrusted to just anybody I'll have you know)
I also met 9 fab guys who were great company and prevented me from being a Billy no mates so a big thank you to Paul, Andrew, Panos, Pankash, Bayerz, Stuart, David, Wayne & Trevor.
I enjoyed it so much I am going to do it all again in September for Help the Aged - don't worry I'll let you all know about it.
Love and thanks
from
Jill
