Stop press: Marathon 2008 results: I somehow found reserves of energy I did not know I possessed and managed to complete the course in 3 hours 28 minutes and 55 seconds - almost half an hour better than last year. It was a completely fantastic day with all the family and Blue Sky turning out in force to cheer me on. Thank  you so much to all those who have sponsored and encouraged me.

As you can see from the target above we would really like to find just a little bit more so that we can reach the goal of £35,000!

Background:

The London Marathon was such a fantastic experience last year that I could not resist putting myself through the torture one more time. This year I will not have my husband Mick complaining about my irritating marathon focused habits: rubbing Deep Heat into every imaginable muscle at bedtime etc - as his interests and mine are totally aligned to raise as much as I can for the charity he set up three years ago.

Blue Sky

Please take a look at the Blue Sky website : it changes the lives of ex offenders many of whom are released from prison without a job, housing or any immediate financial help. Little wonder that reoffending is often the order of the day. Blue Sky offers training, support and real employment generally under contracts with local authorities providing grounds maintenance and related activities.
