I'm a late substitute into one of two cross-Channel Relay swims that are taking place on Saturday 27th September. The weather has caused the relays to be postponed from Tuesday this week but things have picked up and we should able to get away!

Each relay has six swimmers, and we will be escorted by the CS&PF Pilots Alison Streeter and her brother Neil who will guide their boats Roco and Suva through the businest shipping lanes in the world. Alison, with 43 solo swims across the Channel, knows the waters very well!

Having succeeded on solo swim last year, raising over £2000 for Charity, I'm delighted to be able to help the Charity in its venture and I hope we can let you see progress during the day on www.lido-legends.co.uk
