Community Hospice provides free end of life care to anyone living with a terminal illness in Greenwich and Bexley, supporting around 3,000 people each year. Our goal is to help everyone we care for to approach death in the way that suits their values, beliefs and lifestyle.

Story

Thank you for visiting my British 10k race page,  I, for some unknown reason, agreed to take part in this race some months ago and have struggled to get into the training routine.  Sadly my dad, Jack Bennett, died on 6th May 2007 and I have decided to get my act together and run the race in Hyde Park in his memory.  I am not a sports person, so my dad would be smiling to himself at the prospect of me taking part in his memory.

I will be raising funds to support the work of Greenwich & Bexley Cottage Hospice, the Hospice at which I work and offers very special care to those within the London Boughs of Greenwich and Bexley who require its services.  This is all provided free at point of delivery; however we have to raise £2,500,000 each year from the public to make that possible.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Greenwich & Bexley Cottage Hospice will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Your sponsorship will encourage me as I run the race in memory of my dear dad.

Thank you for supporting me.

With best wishes.

Jim
