Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Despite not having run for running's sake since being forced to do cross country at school when the ground was too hard for rugby (yes I can just remember those days!), someone in the Northern Ireland Legal Services Commission "persuaded" me to join one of their relay teams in the Belfast Marathon taking place on 4 May.
I will be running the shortest leg 3.5 miles, so may just survive (but they have just told me it is uphill!). The teams are seeking sponsorship in support of the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children, a charity whose work is detailed alongside and which was chosen in memory of the daughter of a friend and colleague at the Commission who died last month.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please click on the button below and sponsor us now! Any amount will be greatly appreciated by me and the other members of the teams. There is no target as it is just a question of what people feel comfortable about giving.
I will of course let donors know what happens on 4 May, provided I am in a fit state to do so.
