My story

Why is Manic taking on the Brathay Challenge again this year ?

Last year the 7 runners who completed the 10 marathons in 10 days found the inspiration they needed to achieve this feat at Brathay with the people who work there, and their dedication to help disadvantaged young people realise their potential is the reason I am asking you to sponsor me to help the Trust with this work.

I am only too aware that this Challenge is not diminshed by having completed it before, but this year you can help put me on the starting line knowing I will be contributing to the Brathay Vision , which was defined by Sir Christopher Ball when he devised the Challenge and then completed it last year : ''to show that ordinary people can acheive extraordinary feats''.

Thank you to those who helped me raise over £ 1000 when I ran the London Marathon last year for the local Alzheimers Society. We made a differnce and helped keep the Sutton Weekend Break project open. This time please help me run 262 miles with the incentive of making improvements at Brathay.

Manic will do it With A Lotta Help From His Friends !
