Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by young sudden cardiac death (YSCD). We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

On the 2nd of September 2009, I will be cycling from London to Paris over four days!

This challenge is in memory of my dad, who sadly, and suddenly, died on the 16th October 2008 of a heart attack. He was just 48 years old! My dad was a fit man, he cycled everyday on his journey to london - averaging up to 100 miles a week (not including his regular fitness workouts). He loved cycling - and that is why I am taking this challenge!

The total journey is just under 300 miles, and I hope to raise as much money for my dads charity as I can.

Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) was founded in 1995 to raise awareness of conditions that can lead to sudden cardiac death; sudden death syndrome.

Every week 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die in the UK from undiagnosed heart conditions

I am well into my training, and every revolution reminds me of my dad and gives me motivation to keep going!

Every donation will help support CRY.

So please, donate as much as you can for ME, MY DAD and CRY!

Thank you for your support and donations.
