Hello,

My name is Jim Wagner,

Sadly, over the last few years, I have become a lazy, overweight 48yr old taxi driver, with a partner and 2 young sons, whom I love dearly............and I have decided to take up the challenge of a lifetime.

In march 2013 I aim to trek across a large part of the Sahara Desert, in Morocco, and in order to succeed, I must lose a lot of weight ( in the region of about 7-8 stone) and get myself fit.

in taking up this challenge I also decided that I would like my favourite charity to benefit financially from my efforts, and therefore will be doing it on behalf of the 'Make a Wish Foundation UK'. I'm sure most of you reading this will know the amazing things that this organisation does, but if not, let me tell you a bit about them.

This fantastic charity makes wishes come true for terminally ill children, the wishes range enormously from small things such a meeting their favourite celebrity or sportsman/woman, to trips abroad, maybe to Disneyworld or the North Pole and such like. Can you imagine the impact on the child and their family when their wishes come true, and the memories they take away with them ? please take a look at their website at www.make-a-wish.org.uk - the stories will melt your hearts.

Within the charity itself, the people behind the scenes work extremely hard, sometimes 24/7, to make sure that every wish, every trip, for every child goes as smoothly as it possibly can so that the child and their family get as much as they can out of their biggest dream.

If you are reading this page you may be family, friends, colleagues or maybe just someone who is willing to support me in this brilliant, and for me, life changing challenge which will help me raise seriously needed funds for this amazing charity.
