Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

After far too long sitting on my backside and popping coins into the fund raising envelopes that come through the letterbox I have taken the plunge and taken on a nine day cycle from Panama, through Costa Rica, to Nicaragua in November this year. The cycling wil be a real challenge at 50-70 miles a day so the training has been going on for some time.  It is only 9 weeks to go now and having completed the 100km Macride round Stratford on 12 September I hope I am in fairly good shape.

The charity, Macmillan Cancer Support is a fantastic cause in any event but after the death, from cancer, of my Dad in August and another family member having been diagnosed with cancer earlier this year it is also very personal to me.  I hope that you will put your hand in your pocket for this one. I know we all get asked to support these causes regularly but I hope the thought of me toiling up a mountain in the tropics wearing padded shorts brings enough of a smile your face to make a donation.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Macmillan Cancer Support gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
