Flora London Marathon 2008 · 13 April 2008 ·

Every day 250 people in the UK start losing their sight. With your help, we can be there when people need us most, support independent living, create an inclusive society and prevent avoidable sight loss. Every pound you raise will help create a future where sight loss is no longer a barrier.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

Right, as some of you will be aware I have entered to run the Flora 2008 London Marathon. I will use this page to keep you updated on my progress and sponsorship.

My sponsor is the RNIB, so please dig deep and help me hit my goal of £1500.

If anyone is interested in my reasons behind my chosen charity - My Dad was diagnosed with Glaucoma last year which is a condition that can ultimately lead to blindness. The condition can be hereditary and is non-curable at the present. The money I hope to raise will go towards possible treatments for this and many other sight disorders. It will also help those who have been born without sight or have lost it for many other reasons later in life.

So far training is going very well. My next goal is to complete 16k (10miles) comfortably. Will keep you all updated.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: RNIB will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
