Story
I always knew I would go for a Marathon at this stage of my life.
Then there came this earthquake of 8.0 degree taking 50,000 lives in about one week time, half a million injured, thousands of the victims being under 17 years old.
I cry, for days. I cry in my dreams. For the shock, the loss; yet more for the strength and beauty of life in disaster, for the miracles, for the great love shown in crisis.
I emailed every single soul I know on this planet pleading for their prayers for the afflicated, and for the contributions. I know everyone has been doing all they can.
There should be more I can do... yes! I can run for them! I run for the afflicted, with your support!
Along with your love and strength, with the inspiration I got from the earthquake survivors, I will be running a full marathon in Abingdon on 19/Oct/08, my very first marathon.
And I run for Red Cross, for their great work across the globe wherever emergency occurs. Your donation will be given the best usage in the earthquake area.
