My story
Dear reader,
Thank you for visiting (and donating) onto my fundraising page.
Yes, you read it right. I am running the famous, 26.0 miles, London Marathon 2012 in support of The Esther Benjamins Trust. To all my friends who are thinking ‘Are you mad bruv???’ I say please donate and I won’t. To the ones who are concerned about my weight, sorry but I will be losing some more. And to the rest of the readers, don’t think twice, hit the donate button and help me raise funds for this wonderful charity working for the vulnerable children of Nepal.
On a serious note.......
The Esther Benjamins Trust is one of the registered organizations that solely do its work for the kids who are being trafficked from Nepal to different parts of India. Formed by Philip Holmes, an army dentist who worked alongside the brave Gurkhas, in the memory of his wife Esther Benjamins, this organisation has constantly focused on protecting the most vulnerable children of Nepal. Children, who have been trafficked, sold and abused in various circus and brothels of India have been rescued and rehabilitated by this organisation. Looking at the outstanding job the trust has done, I would like to make my heart feel proud of being a person who shares the sorrow of my beloved brothers and sisters. Since I do not support forced labour, it would even be better if I could do my part by raising funds that would help the trust carry out their works in giving freedom to those Nepalese brothers and sisters who are being forced to work under such extreme conditions.
Every human being possesses certain level of passion for the humanity. I, myself being originally from Nepal, carry a heart that is very kind, helpful and loyal. As our ancestors have shown, we are the bravest and the toughest in the world. I think we also should look in the different pictures that are also the face of my beloved country. I have the passion for social works and I have been getting myself involved in as many volunteering works as I possibly can with all my efforts to help the helpless and the needy ones.
I would love to take part in other activities in the future. Taking part in the marathon would be one of moments that I would always heart.
Thank you for donating on my page. Your contribution will be much appreciated not just by me but also by those forgotten children of Nepal.
