J&J Indian Ocean Rowing Race 2009 · 26 September 2008

EVERY 90 SECONDS someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury (ABI). There are many possible causes, such as a fall, a road traffic accident, an assault, a tumour or a stroke. A brain injury can happen to anyone, at any time. When it does, we're here to help

Story

In April 2009 James and his friend Jamie are to undertake an impressive challenge, that of Rowing across an entire ocean!  We are subjecting ourselves to a very demanding task of endurance, determination and risk.  And we do so to raise money for charity.

James is a man keen on supporting people’s health and is training to become a doctor. Unfortunately a close friend of his was hit by a car and suffered brain injuries.

The main reason his friend is still with us today, and recovering well, is because of his sheer determination coupled with the support of Headway – the UK’s leading brain injury charity.

For this reason James rows to raise awareness and money for this small but effective charity
.  They will greatly benefit from our support and your donations.

So please sponsor me through justgiving below.
