Well I did it!! I ran the whole 26.2 miles in the London Marathon and I am very proud of my time of 5.09 - it was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life but one of the proudest! My Dad would have been especially proud!
Thank you all - for your support, for your kind words and most of all for believing I would make it!
A very special thank you to Sally and Steve - who were the best coaches in the world. To Tibby - who has always encouraged me and who is always there for me if things go wrong. And a big thank you to Marcus - for the many hours of cycling alongside me and helping me with running/fundraising over the last six months.
I have nearly reached my target of 10k. The party was a great success and I would like to thank:

A message from Jj: I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001 at the age of 36. A year later I lost my father to Parkinson’s Disease. During this difficult time the support of family and friends was invaluable but despite their help I often felt alone.
It was at this time that I heard about Breast Cancer Care and I soon became a volunteer, helping others with the disease whilst regaining my own self-confidence.
In November 2005 I was asked to run the London Marathon and have my training filmed as part of a BBC documentary. The chance to push myself physically (when I began I could run for no more than three minutes) whilst helping the charity that has helped me and countless other people so much was something I jumped at. I am very lucky to have Steve Cram and Sally Gunnell as my trainers but it has been a challenge, though an enjoyable one. When it gets tough, I remember that running the marathon is not just a personal achievement but something that benefits others.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Breast Cancer Care will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Please look out for me on the 23rd April - I am running this for my mum Tibby who had the disease and my Aunty Jennifer who is bravely facing it again and to all those whose lives have been affected by breast cancer.
Love Jj
