PC (Pachyonychia Congenita) Project London to Edinburgh · 21 August 2014

We transform lives locally and globally through the creation, sharing and application of knowledge. Through excelling in teaching and research; contributing to the social, economic and cultural life of Scotland and the wider world; shaping the future by solving important real-world problems.

Story

My chosen Charity for this cycle ride is the PC Project.  A Charity which supports people with an ultra rare, severely debilitating genetically inherited skin condition called Pachyonychia Congenita.   I'm priveledged to know Keiren Eyles, a sufferer who I have seen endure unimaginable pain since the day I met him, back some 12 years ago.  The pain never goes away for PC sufferers,  it is a daily battle to manage it.  I want a better quality of life for people like Keiren with PC and in order to help the PC Project needs money to fund research for cure.

In case you're wondering, the donation is to the PC Project UK, but it is processed through the University of Dundee as the PC Project saves money by using the University's charitable status.

This is by far the biggest challenge I have ever faced and I would love you to support me through this by giving generously to the University of Dundee's PC Project Charity.

This is the route plan:

Day 1: Trafalgar square to Peterborough: 105 miles.
Day 2: Peterborough to Barton-upon-Humber: 97 miles
Day 3: Barton-upon-Humber to Darlington: 94 miles
Day 4: Darlington to Carlisle: 82 miles
Day 5: Carlisle to Edinburgh: 102 miles.

Thanks in advance for your support.

Lots of love,  J.xx
