We transform young people's lives with DofE to build skills, confidence and resilience.

Story

This year, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) is celebrating it's Diamond (60th) anniversary. To mark this milestone, the organisation is encouraging people to undertake a personal challenge, and complete the DofE Diamond challenge.

We are taking on the 3 peaks challenge and we need your help!

From the 15th to the 16th September we will be climbing the three highest peaks in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon) in under 24 hours, this includes the drive between the three mountains.

Why I hear you ask!

This challenge has been something we have all wanted to do for years and all being part of the JLGB DofE team made us want to do the challenge to raise money to allow the next generation of young people to gain leadership skills, independence and confidence and to ensure all those less fortunate can take part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

The six include walkers Daniel Lever, Sacha Johnstone, Alex Davis, Tim Knott, Gregory Clark and the amazing Matt Shine as our driver.

The DofE Diamond Challenge…

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is the world’s leading youth achievement award, giving millions of 14 – 24 year olds the opportunity to develop work-ready skills, and increase employment opportunities by gaining skills to add to their CV. JLGB runs a kosher and Shabbat friendly DofE provision that meet the religious and cultural needs of Jewish young people, removing all barriers for the successful completion of their award.

Please give generously and together we will be able to give young people the once in a lifetime opportunity we have all benefitted from. Thank you in advance from us all!
