Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Last year Jo and I went travelling for six weeks in India, as we are both students we had to go in the summer, which is the wrong time to travel to India, we arrived in Delhi and travelled south to Kerala. The heat was unbearable 40+ night and day. And when it rained it, it was incredible how much water came out of the sky, in short this experience, left both Jo and I thinking next year we would holiday in Great Britain. So this year in at the end of June (26th) we are cycling from Lands End to John O Graots LEJOG, raising money for Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust SBDTT. We plan to complete it in 11 days, which will mean roughly 100 miles a day. It will be some undertaking.

We will be raising money for Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust SDBTT, who are the UK’s leading charity dedicated to brain tumour research and patient information and support. Since the charity was established in 1996, they have supported over 50 high quality, peer-reviewed medical research projects across the UK, with funding in excess of £6 million. Their research is leading to a better understanding of the ways in which brain tumours develop and how they can best be treated.

Brain tumour research and supporting people with brain tumours and their families is close to mine and my families heart as my brother Ian died at 32, on Oct 13th 2006 after a three year illness due to a brain tumour.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
