Hi guys, Jo here,  just over a year ago I was diagnosed with a heart condition called, Long Q.T. Syndrome.

This condition basically can cause sudden death, through cardiac arrest, in otherwise fit and healthy young people!

12 young people die every week in the U.K. alone from undetected heart conditions like mine!

As you can imagine a real shock, but nothing compared to the shock of discovering my 4 year old little boy Tyler had inherited it also!

Knowing that Ty has the same condition as me, has driven me to try my absolute hardest to raise as much money and awareness as I possibly can for the charity C.R.Y. (Cardiac risk in the young.)

I am going to trek across the Sahara dessert, it will take 9 days, approx 7 hours trekking each day, completely back to basics, sleeping in a tent!

 Can you imagine ME with no nice clean toilets, make up, G.H.D.s or even worse.......no mobile phone! I have never even been camping, and I dont even like walking!!? lol Whatever, I am determined by hook or by crook that I will get across that dessert for Ty, no matter what! Bring it on!

I have untill Nov to train and will be as prepared as I possibly can, but every donation or encouragment you give will help me in my challenge!
