We help people with ME/CFS to understand and survive their illness

Story

I have ME, I was diagnosed at 16, but was lucky enough to spend most of my 20s in good health. Unfortunately a couple of years ago I was struck down again.

People with ME often find themselves extra sensitive to things, e.g. light, sound, clothing. I spend most of my time outside the house in dark sunglasses, even on a dull day due to my light sensitivity. But one of my biggest irritations is my hair, I have often threatened to get the clippers out, so I thought I would put it to good use and try to raise some money for the ME Association in the process.

ME is a widely unknown illness, amongst everyday folk and unfortunately the medical profession.People who suffer from it are often left isolated from the world and without proper care from their medical practitioners . More research is needed in order to learn more about the illness, it's causes and ways to treat it.

The ME Association offer support for sufferers as well as raising money for biomedical research.
