Great Wall of China - National Autistic Society · 15 April 2009

The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

We are treking part of the Great Wall of China in October to raise funds for the National Autistic Society and have pledged to raise £6000 between us. We will be organising various fund raising events as well as asking for sponsorship and will update this page as often as we can to let you know what events we have planned if anyone is interested in attending.

FUND RAISING EVENTS:

Saturday 12th September 2009 – Race Night,HollingworthLakeRowing Club, Littleborough - Even if you can’t make it you will still be able to take part by buying a horse if you want to.

If you can’t come

We are selling horses before the night at a cost of £3.00 each. If your horse wins on the night you will win a prize (you have a 1 in 8 chance of winning something).

Also if anyone thinks that their family/friends/partners work colleagues would be interested in buying a horse then please contact me (Jo) on 07969248895 and I will give you a race card(s). Each card has 8 horses to be sold at £3.00 per horse.  We would really appreciate any help in this regard as it would optimise our fund raising prior to the event.

We are also going to give a prize to the person who sells the most horses.

If you can come

Tickets are £5.00 each which includes entry on the night and also a horse, which would usually be £3.00 (see details above).

For further information and/or tickets please contact Jo on 07969248895 or Chris on 07949333158

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us. the National Autistic Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Any sponsors however little would be a massive help in getting us to our target (or even beyond it if possible!) Anyone who sponsors us on line is eligible to enter our competition all you have to do is guess how many steps we will walk whilst in China (put your guess in the comments section). The winner will be the closest to the number we walk and will be announced here on our return!

Thanks for your interest

Jo & Chris
