Story
This page has been set up in the memory of the beautiful Joan Elizabeth Fellows, who we will never forget.
Joan was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend to many. She was well loved by everyone who knew her and donated her later years to helping others and charity work. She was generous and selfless.
She was also very family orientated and they traveled all over the world together. She wanted to experience everything life could offer including horse back riding around the Grand Canyon, trekking the Rocky Mountains of Canada and exploring the delights of Egypt.
Over the past 5 months Joan had suffered from Acute Myeloid Leukaemia and throughout this period she fought her hardest against the disease and never gave up. However on the morning of the 17th July 2008 Joan passed away with her husband Arthur at her side.
The family would like all donations for Joan to go to the Crossroads Association, as they in collaboration with Hospice at Home helped to care and support Joan and her family over the last few months of her life, and allowed her final wish of dying at home. Without their kindness this would have been an even more traumatic period for all.
Thank you for visiting this memorial fundraising page.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Crossroads Caring for Carers gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you for your support.
