Mary’s Meals is a global movement that sets up school feeding programmes in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education. The charity now feeds more than three million children every school day and it costs just £19.15/€22.00 to feed a child for a year.

Story

Hi,

This year I decided to run the Edinburgh marathon and raise money for Scottish International Relief (SIR) who are a highly respected and effective overseas aid organisation working with some of the worlds poorest people and children. I have been training for what seems like months and have found it pretty tough. At the moment I can't imagine being able to run the full 26.2 miles but I'm going to see soon enough!  I'm praying its going to be typical Scottish summer weather with temps  of no more than 15 degrees or else I'm in trouble.

Any donation big or small will be hugely appreciated.

Thanks.

Joan
